Abanos is one of the largest and most reliable holistic interior fit-out and joinery companies in the UAE, with a track-record of delivering high-quality and tailor-made projects, all fabricated at its state-of-the-art production facilities.
Established in 1985, the company has expanded steadily since its early days, now operating throughout the UAE, GCC and worldwide markets and employing over 1,000 dedicated people – all hand-selected from various parts of the world.

Mr. Kamal Farah
CEO - Abanos Interior Fit-Out & Joinery
An Irish national, Kamal Farah lives in the United Arab Emirates where he is CEO of Abanos Interior Fit-Out & Joinery, one of the largest and most reliable holistic interior fit-out and joinery companies in the country. In his current role Kamal is responsible for the company's overall growth and performance, developing the company vision to maintain a leading position as a fit-out and joinery contracting company through engaging a holistic and sustainable approach to all its projects.
Established in 1985, the company has expanded steadily since its early days; under Kamal’s leadership the company now operates throughout the UAE, GCC and worldwide markets and employs over 1,000 dedicated people.
Kamal initiated and oversaw the recent expansion of Abanos, resulting in a 10,000m2 manufacturing facility in Dubai Investment Park, with state-of-the-art machinery, in addition to new manufacturing and warehousing facilities of 9,000m2 coupled with an investment in leading machinery.
After graduating in MSc Civil Engineering (2003) at the University of Bristol, UK, Kamal completed an on-site project engineering role with Mowlem, before returning to the UAE. Kamal then developed experience in on-site civil engineering, project engineering, in addition to working in the contractual, tendering and plant departments with ECC. Kamal is now a board member of the Engineering Contracting Company Group (ECC Group), where he is responsible for overseeing the performance of various divisions of the ECC Group.

The ISO certifications specify requirements for a quality management system that introduces a real change in the organizations’ life to align with modern management practices and to help drive a competitive advantage in a world of economic, technological and environmental changes.
Abanos has obtained 3 ISO certificates, which are ISO 9001:2008 (Quality Management), ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental Management), OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health & Safety Management).
Our fire-rates doors are carefully planned and executed to meet the standards and specifications for all types of projects. All of the fire-rates doors are regularly inspected and certified by the authorities and experts in giving certifications for fire-rated doors.
Abanos has obtained British Standards certificates for 60 - 90 -120 minutes up to 2.8 meters in height (Dubai & Abu Dhabi). American Standards certificate for 60 minutes.
Abanos has adopted aggressive sustainability and green methods in our Factory in the UAE.
We have obtained certificates such as FSC (Forest Responsible Stewardship), and PEFC (Promoting Sustainable Forest Management), which certify that we are responsible for recycling the wastage from the source of the tree, to the production process. We are also responsible for planting two or three trees for every tree we cut in our factory.
